Connect Claude to HelloNoa
HelloNoa is the studio UK freelancers run their business from, and connecting your own Claude to it means you can ask what needs doing, or get an invoice or contract drafted, in a sentence.
What this is
Your own Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile or Claude Code) works your HelloNoa account through the same guarded actions the app itself uses. A second front door, not a second brain: it never invents an action the app couldn't take. Built on MCP, the open standard AI assistants use, so other MCP-compatible assistants work too.
What it can and cannot do
Claude can
- Tell you what needs doing next, the same ranking the app's own advisor uses
- Search your invoices, clients and projects
- Give you an indicative tax snapshot (Pro plan)
- Create a proposal, contract or quick invoice draft for you to review
- Log an expense (any plan) or a block of hours (Essential plan and up)
- Add a client
- Hand you your client onboarding link
- Prepare a payment reminder's text and a link to send it yourself
Claude never
- Sends, nudges or emails a client on your behalf
- Sends a document for e-signature, or signs one
- Takes, refunds or moves a payment
- Deletes, archives or destroys anything
- Lists every record at once; every search is scoped and capped
- Sees a client you have marked Private by name or email
Drafts land in your account as real, editable documents. Nothing reaches a client on its own: sending, signing, paying and deleting stay with you.
How to connect
claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude mobile
- Open Settings, then Connectors
- Choose "Add custom connector"
- Paste this URL:
https://hellonoa.com/mcp - Sign in to HelloNoa when prompted, and review the permissions Claude is asking for
Claude Code
Run this from a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http hellonoa https://hellonoa.com/mcp
No account yet? Sign up at that same step: free, no card, 14 days of Pro, and you land straight back in Claude, connected.
You approve what Claude can reach before it reaches anything, and disconnect any time from Settings, Connected apps.
Things to try
Ask in your own words:
- "What needs doing in my studio this week?"
- "Which invoices are overdue?"
- "Draft an invoice for the hours I've logged on Brand Launch."
- "Draft a contract for my new client, Kelso Studio."
- "Log a £23 software expense for today."
- "Prepare a payment reminder for my most overdue invoice."
What Claude can do on each plan
Claude follows the plan you are already on. Past a monthly allowance it hands you an upgrade link instead of creating anything.

Privacy
The connector is built so that a client you mark Private (on their own page in HelloNoa) is not named to a connected assistant, and so that a client you mark Hidden from AI does not appear at all, on any plan; the one exception is whole-account tax totals, which include every client's figures without naming anyone. Claude only gets what the specific request returns, never an export of your account. We log which tool ran and when (not your conversation) and delete that log automatically after 12 months.
Your clients never agreed to HelloNoa's terms, so before you connect: say in your own privacy notice that an AI assistant helps manage their records (a line you can copy: 'We use an AI assistant to help manage client records; it processes what we send it under its own provider's privacy terms.'), and mark anyone you don't want reachable as Private or Hidden from AI. The lawful basis for processing their data through your assistant stays with you, not HelloNoa; typically legitimate interests, which you should be able to justify if asked.
Disconnecting in Settings stops access straight away, but doesn't erase what Claude already read: clear that in Claude's own data controls. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
