COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how HelloNoa GmbH i.G. ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit our website at https://hellonoa.com ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, HelloNoa GmbH i.G.) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Website to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Website for advertising, analytics, and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

How can I control cookies?

Our public pages (marketing, blog, waitlist, sign-in and sign-up) are designed so that no non-essential cookies, local storage or session storage are written to your device unless you explicitly ask for them. Analytics runs in cookieless mode, and our support chat (Crisp) only loads when you press the Chat with us button.

You can open Privacy preferences at any time from the footer link to turn the cookieless analytics off entirely. You can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services such as keeping you signed in.

The specific types of first- and third-party cookies that may be served through our Website and the purposes they perform are described in the table below (please note that the specific cookies served may vary depending on the Online Properties you visit and whether you are signed in):

Essential website cookies:

These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.

Payment and Security Cookies (Stripe):

These cookies are set by Stripe, our payment processor, to enable secure payment processing and fraud prevention.

Note: Stripe cookies are essential for secure payment processing. Without them, we cannot process your subscription payments. These cookies help protect both you and us from payment fraud. For more information, see Stripe's Cookie Policy.

Analytics and Performance Cookies:

On our public website (marketing pages, blog, waitlist, sign-in and sign-up) we run PostHog in cookieless mode. No analytics cookies, local storage or session storage are written to your device. We still measure aggregate pageviews and in-session funnel behaviour to improve the site, but no information about you is stored on your device when you visit public pages.

Storage: None on public pages (memory-only). Within the signed-in studio, PostHog sets ph_* cookies / Local Storage to recognise your account session for product analytics and (input-masked) session replay.
Purpose: Product analytics — aggregate pageviews and feature usage; (signed-in only) account-level funnel analysis and (input-masked) session replay
Provider: PostHog Inc. (EU instance, eu.i.posthog.com)
Service: PostHog Analytics View Privacy Policy
Type: Public pages: none (memory only). Signed-in studio: HTTP Cookie / Local Storage (third-party).
Expires: Public pages: cleared when you close the tab. Signed-in studio: 1 year.

Note: Because nothing is stored on your device on public pages, no cookie banner is required there. You can still turn off the cookieless analytics entirely from the Privacy preferences link in the footer. Within the signed-in studio, PostHog operates as part of the platform you have signed up to; opt out at any time by contacting privacy@hellonoa.com.

Support Chat Cookies (Crisp):

Crisp is not loaded by default on public pages. It loads only when you click the Chat with us button (or, in the signed-in studio, the chat icon) — at that point chat is a service you have explicitly requested, and Crisp sets the following:

Cookie / Storage: crisp-client/* (cookies and Local Storage)
Purpose: Keeps your support chat session and message history while you browse
Provider: Crisp IM SARL (France)
Service: Crisp Chat View Privacy Policy
Type: HTTP Cookie / Local Storage (Third-party)
Expires: 6 months

Stripe Analytics Cookies:

Stripe may set additional analytics cookies to improve their checkout and payment experience:

Cookie Name: cid, private_machine_identifier
Purpose: Stripe analytics - measures checkout performance and user experience optimisation
Provider: Stripe, Inc.
Type: HTTP Cookie / Local Storage (Third-party)
Expires: 1 year

These cookies are set by Stripe during the checkout process. For more information, see Stripe's Cookie Policy.

How can I control cookies on my browser?

As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:

In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please visit:

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognise when someone has visited our Website or opened an email including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

Do you serve targeted advertising?

No. HelloNoa does not run advertising on its website, does not sell or share your data with advertising networks, and does not place any advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on your device. You will not see retargeting pixels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok or similar) on hellonoa.com. If we ever introduce advertising, we will update this policy and add an explicit consent category in the cookie banner before any such cookie is set.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
