Payments & payouts

My payout failed or Stripe wants more info

If a payout is held or Stripe is asking for details, it is usually a quick fix. Here is what to do.

Sometimes Stripe pauses payouts and asks for more information. It looks alarming, but it is almost always a quick, fixable step, and your money is safe while you sort it.

Why it happens

Stripe is required to verify the people and businesses it pays out to. It may ask for ID, an address, or business details, often as your earnings grow. Until you provide them, it holds payouts rather than sending money it cannot verify.

What to do

Open your payment settings and look for any prompt to add or confirm details, then follow it through to your Stripe account. Once Stripe has what it needs, payouts usually resume quickly.
