Why was I charged?
Spotted a charge you weren't expecting? Here are the two things it's almost always one of.
An unexpected charge is unsettling, but it's nearly always one of two simple things. Here's how to tell which.
1. Your own plan renewing
If you're on a paid plan (Essential or Pro), it renews automatically each month or year, and that's the charge you'll see from HelloNoa. You can check your plan and renewal any time in your billing settings, and cancel there if you'd rather not renew. If a plan payment failed instead, see your subscription payment didn't go through.
2. Fees on a client's payment to you
When a client pays one of your invoices by card, a small platform fee and Stripe's processing fee come out of that payment. That's not a bill to you, it's deducted from what the client paid. The full breakdown is in platform & processing fees explained.
Still not sure?
If a charge doesn't match either of these, open a chat with us with the date and amount and we'll trace it for you.
Common questions
I'm on the free Starter plan — why a charge?
Starter has no subscription charge. A charge then is almost always Stripe's processing fee on a client's card payment to you, not a bill from us. See platform & processing fees.
